This hotel is a hidden gem right at the center of Old Town, with a location that is simply unbeatable. It is within walking distance to all of the sites and conveniently situated on a main trolley line. The staff are super friendly and make you feel like part of the family. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with a comfy bed and even some with a view of the Old Colonial District. And to top it off, breakfast is included, served promptly at 6:15 am.
All was well, no complaints.

The manager of the hotel was very helpful. The location was very good, although it I didn't think so at first. But once you get used to the the location it was not bad. I mostly took taxis every where, because they are so cheap. This is really a backpackers hotel, but anyone who wants to experience the old city could stay here. It is not a 5 star hotel. Rooms clean, not cold (Sept) with the extra blankets. Staff every helpful over trips and eating places, etc. Would recommend it particularity for the young.
No hot water first night and the last of three nights.

I had an amazing stay in the heart of the Historic District! The hotel was clean and had everything I needed during my travels. I loved the colorful decorations in my room and the hotel facilities were great for my needs. Plus, the staff were friendly and ready to help with whatever I needed. The hotel was also conveniently located so close to all the sites I wanted to visit and the main plaza was just a short walk away. Finally, the breakfasts were delicious and gave me a great start to each day of my trip.
Not obvious to find, but well worth it once you do!

The manger is a great women! she helped us alot! the rooms are comfortable and clean and there is a great view.
It is not in the tourism part of the city but in the old town. But for us it was quiet comfortable because we were visiting mostly places in the old town.

Well situated, the hostal is a great quality / price choice and the people there are very friendly and always helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable.
The only "problem" we had was the wi-fi which was not always working. But the hostal provides computer with internet connection for free.

We loved the location, just a few blocks away from the main plaza and surrounded by many museums and restaurants. the room we stayed in was spacious and clean. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast with delicious freshly baked bread, coffee, and juice. the staff was very courteous and helpful, providing us with suggestions for sightseeing and organizing transportation to the airport.
The street outside our room was a bit noisy during the night.

I was at first turned off my the name 'Hostel', but after reading reviews, decided to give it a try. The location was wonderful, as was the price. I would describe the hotel as "quainter than quaint". Alicia helped us with many things and my wife felt a kinship with her! She let me use her computer for the internet, since the two available for guests were being used. Our view was gorgeous of the mountains and the city! Would stay there again.
The bathroom was not clean enough for my standards. The breakfast was the same everyday, pan y eggs. Wish they would brew some real coffee.

The location is great if you want to stay in the historic centre of the city, which we found much nicer than Mariscal, which could be anywhere in the world. The friendliness of the staff is great. The room is perfectly adequate with a very comfy bed and a hot shower all the time, something of a rarity sometimes in South America in cheaper accommodation!
No wi-fi in the bedrooms which we were used to at a lot of non city places.

The owner, Alicia, is very friendly and always eagre to answer any questions about getting around Quito, places to eat, etc. The room was very clean. The shower had hot water and the breakfast was very good. They also have two computers available for guests to use to check their e-mail. The hotel is very close to the main sites in the old part of the city. Couches are provided on each floor for guests to use.
